Description

We have over 100 kettles in stock, and 20-22 of this size in stock. They were cast in sand cast molds. (Imagine a piece of wood this exact size pushed into sand and then molten iron was poured into the void).  When you collect things that are 100+ years olds, they are in different degrees of condition, some have cracks, some have chips out of them, some have great marks, some have no marks. Some are missing sections. Cast iron, they are 54-56 inches in diameter, 17 inches deep, and the rim is 5 inches around, depending upon who made them back in the day. The syrup making industry flourished basically from pre-Civil War (1855) up to the Great Depression (1930’s). Some carry marks from Columbus, Georgia, Savannah, Georgia, Chattanooga, Tennessee,  some from Macon, Georgia. All pricing includes a 24″ hoop stand. These are pick up prices from our warehouse in Covington, Georgia, where you should visit so you can pick put exactly what you want.  Delivery within a 2 hour radius of Atlanta is $300. In the case of a firepit, drilling a hole for drainage or a gas line is $200. For you out of state customers, I can email you photos once you tell me what you want. We also ship directly to a jobsite or a residence, but that is a function of weight and distance and is variable. Weight is approximately 350-450 lbs. They are 100+ years old and will last another 100 years.  They are graded like this:

Grade B, chips or cracks some with welds, great marks $4000
Grade C, no chips, no cracks, unmarked $3750
