36 Inch Jasper, Alabama Granite Runner Millstone

Description

From a mill in Jasper/Walker County, Alabama, just NW of Birmingham, Smith Lake territory. You will see this stone listed with its mate under mated pairs. The Runner is 36 inches in diameter, 9 inches thick, with a 10 inch round eye. The stone is a grey granite. Cut in quarter dress, nice grooves, weight approximately 1000 lbs. together. So perfect, so uniform, believed to have been part of a RD Cole Mill, manufactured in Newnan, Georgia in the early 1900’s.
