38 Inch Kentucky Millstone

Description

This is a 38 inch diameter millstone, 8 inches thick, with an 9 inch “spanish cross” cut into it. It came from a mill located in Cynthiana, Kentucky, about 30 minutes north of Lexington. A runner stone, the granite is a composite and features many pea sized quatz stones in the make-up of the granite. Hardware has been removed, the millstone cut is quarter dress, and it’s a pretty rock. Stone is similar in texture and makeup to the 30 inch rock we have from Perryville, Kentucky. Mate to stone 38004.
