38 Inch Granite Millstone

Description

This is a 38 inch diameter millstone. This historic, antique millstone is 10 inches thick, with an 8 inch square eye cut into it. It came from a gristmill located on the Buckhannon River in Barbour County, West Virginia. A set stone, the granite is a composite and features many small sized quartz stones in the make-up of the granite. Hardware has been removed, the millstone cut is quarter dress, and it’s a pretty rock.
