42 Inch Dallas Georgia Millstone

Description

42 inches in diameter by 12 inches thick. From Dallas/Paulding County, GA (Arnold’s Mill). Runner Stone with 8 inch center half spanish cross eye. Two dates and two sets of initials are carved into the back of this one. 1851 and 1856. Probably when it was installed, and probably dated again when the stone’s grooving pattern was sharpened. Pre-Civil War Rock, it’s over 155 years old!
