42 Inch West Virginia Millstone

Description

This is a 42 inch diameter millstone, 10 inches thick, with an 9 inch square eye cut into it. It came from a mill located on the Buckhannon River in Barbour County, West Virginia. A set stone, the granite is a composite and features many small sized quartz stones in the make-up of the granite. Hardware has been removed, the millstone cut is quarter dress with fine grooves, and it’s a pretty rock.
